She hummed lightly as her black and white sneakers squashed across the wet pavement. There was something so soothing about the smell of the world after it rained, especially grass. It was almost wonderful and so very comforting for the coffee shop slave of a shadow hunter, she grinned at the thought of the bitter taste indulging her taste buds, which was where she was going now. Her long red sweater clung to her body as her blue skinny jeans stuck to her skin drenched in rain. She didn’t mind though she sort of liked the feeling of the damp water on her soft skin. She was so weird.
Lily frowned as she heard the crackle of dark clouds above her head, as much as she loved rain and all its rainy smell, the idea of being rained on once again was highly undesirable. She sighed and pulled the damp hood of the sweater over her now wavy locks of blond hair tightening the cord so none of the falling wet droplets would ruin her already mussed up hair. As she trudged along the pavement she kept her head down muttering inconsistencies as it rained heavier, moving faster her blue eyes widened as she felt herself fall over one of the loose laces of her sneakers.
In slow motion she felt herself fall but she didn’t bank on the poor person in front of her. Her eyes widened as she opened her mouth to warn the person. “Watch o-out!” she warned as she crashed to floor just narrowly missing the person she’d ran into as fell into the sodden floor. How embarrassing. She darted up as she met the eyes with the person she’d narrowly missed crashing into. “Oh, I-I’m so sorry.” She said hurriedly.
