Beau Joshua Newman didn’t grow up like a normal shadowhunter would. He was orphaned as a baby and taken up by two mundanes, never knowing what happened to his birth parents. His foster parents raised him in California, and he was the only child in the family. They decided not to inform Beau that they weren’t his biological parents until he was at least in his teens and ready for something like that to be unloaded on him. He had a pretty average childhood, though. Well, except for some parental relationship issues. His mother decided to cheat on his father and his father decided to return the favor. They didn’t have the best of relationships and it was clear that their previous ‘love’ for each other was not as strong as it once was. Beau would always side with his father, whom he was closest to, during arguments. This is most likely the reason Beau has issues with relationships. He’s never actually had a ‘girlfriend’, but instead settles for one-night-stands. He’s afraid of commitment and doesn’t believe in love. Though he had always experienced strange things as he grew up due to him having the sight, he always thought it was his imagination. That was until one night, when he was fifteen and had sneaked out to a party, he ran into some rouge downworlders. Stuck in the middle of the situation, he was forced to participate in combat with two other shadowhunters who had arrived there to deal with the rouges. That’s when Beau realized that he really wasn’t normal. Long story short, over the course of a year he kept in contact with these two shadowhunters, learning about his true heritage. During that year he also confronted his parents about his biological parents, whom they still hadn’t told him about. It was a lot to be dealt to a fifteen year old. Angry at his ‘parents’ and confused as to where he belonged, he decided to head off on his own. The two shadowhunters whom he had befriended had spoken of things called ‘institutes’ in which shadowhunters could stay. A very popular one happened to be the New York institute. At the age of seventeen, Beau had decided to run away from his home and head toward New York to see if he could truly figure out who he was and who his real parents were. During his long road trip he had some pretty memorable experiences and met several people ranging in species. He isn’t a hater of downworlders because, overall, they had been his allies in helping him get to his destination. He realized quite quickly that they weren’t all bad people. Upon arriving to the institute when he was eighteen, Beau had little to no shadowhunter experience. There was only so much the two Nephilim he knew in California could tell him. So, he explained how he was orphaned as a child and raised by mundanes, never knowing his true identity until recently, which would explain for his lack of shadowhunter education and training. He was graciously taken in without many questions after that. After two years of being at the institute, he still has the mystery of his biological parents constantly hanging over his head. He doubts that he’ll ever find any answers to that, but he has learned a lot about Nephilim in general. His training has gone fairly well and he’s decent in combat. He’s not as good as those his age that were born and raised shadowhunters, but he’s still only just beginning. Throughout what he’s been through, Beau manages to have a fun but highly annoying personality. He’s random and obnoxious, always cracking jokes and going out of his way to make people laugh either with him or at him, and constantly wants the attention and all eyes to be on him. He has what’s said to be a twisted sense of humor and enjoys flirting with the female variety, whether they be a shadowhunter, downworlder, or mundane. Beau has a bit of an ego and he believes himself to be very attractive, and loves his own hair. Though he was a partier as a teenager, Beau isn’t one to go out every night and get drunk or something. There are the occasional outings and wild nights, but he has no sort of addiction. He’s also strayed far away from drugs, having always stayed ‘above the influence’, in which he manages to be proud of. Alright.. so.. let’s plot it up! xD

Nilla and Beau need be friends, says I! Nilla is an atypical faerie, and he's an atypical-ish shadowhunter. What I mean is, he did know that's where he belonged right away, and she wasn't surrounded by fair folk all her life either. They both got a late start on things and seemed to compensate with reckless behavior (though, that's in Pernilla's blood, so..)
I can see the two being swell friends, even though their personalities may clash. They both seem to be vain attention-seekers, so there may be a challenge for the lime light, huh XD
Yes?

Lily and Beau Well their bound to have run into each other at some point, considering they both live in the institute so its safe to say their at least acquaintances. Lily's a little quiet and prefers furthering her knowledge than actually fighting but she'd admire his skills as a fellow shadow hunter. I think as well she may be a little bit intimidated and if he tried flirting with her she probably wouldn't know how to react or it would go right over her head. Also she'd be happy to help him with training and stuff, she isn't the best at combat (compared to others) so she would probably enjoy training with him more than the others. So I'm thinking maybe friends to an extent?

Ack! Sorry it took so long to reply to this xD
NILLA & BEAU – They could definitely relate in that sense of being new to their own species, in a way. I like the idea of friends; I could see that being quite amusing if their personalities are so similar, some friendly rivalry may occur especially being the attention-seekers that they are xD
LILY & BEAU – Yep, seeing as they live in the same building they’ll know each other. He’d find great amusement in flirting especially if it went right over her head, so he’d probably tease her frequently as well. I can see them being friends, yes. Sounds good (:
